piangs i just saw this video footage of an actual surgery done on a patient with complex facial trauma.
it's on youtube.
they showed how the surgeons fixed the fractures on the lower jaw bone and the bone under both his eyes.
wah it was certainly an eye-opener.
very interesting and the surgeons did it very skillfully.
it was as though they were assembling the parts of a machine because a lot of drilling and screwing was involved.
i felt so noob watching the video.
initially during the first minute of the video, i was rather taken aback.
i nearly wanted to close the window because it was really .. just damn bloody.
can you imagine that coming from a person who can stand ultra-gory movie scenes?
but as the video proceeded, you can clearly see how they were fixing the fractures on his face.
it cannot be compared to a gory movie.
this was a video of something real.
if you compare how he looked before and after the surgery(though it is very bloody in between) it was amazing work done by the surgeons man.
